BKN: What do you do and how long have you done it?

CP: Our church had an overage of money, so they set aside the money to figure out another ministry to get our church outside the walls and ministering. I knew that I wanted to volunteer. Working with women in poverty and teaching job skills. We did two years worth of research and found the under served group who don't have dependents in their home. We started classes in early 2018 and put together 16 week courses. It's life transformative. We have had a 71% graduation rate and women's lives really transformed. We keep in touch with everyone that goes through the program.

BKN: Who would you say is your best customer or target customer?

CP: Women with no dependents in the home. Women that have no children, are empty nesters, widows or have lost the custody of their children. Ages 20 and up.

BKN: What has been the biggest impact on your business with COVID-19?

CP: We have not started a new class. Many of them do not have the technology. We have been in limbo. We have not had two full complete semesters. Everything is on hold.

BKN: What are some actions you had to put in place because of the Pandemic?

CP: We are working on a solution now. We are working on keeping the graduates encouraged through this.

BKN: What has been your biggest learning since becoming a Business Owner?

CP: I think understanding the wealth gap. Understanding the life that they live.

BKN: Do you have any special offers you'd like to share?

CP: We always need volunteers, instructors, mentors, and speakers.

BKN: What do you find the most inspiring?

CP: To see how everyone is transformed through this experience, not just the students but those that volunteer as well.
