BKN: Coach Beverly Kiser-Nutt

JS: Jason Skinner, Paparazzi Hair Salon

BKN: What do you do?  For how long?

JS: We've owned a hair salon in Winston Salem for 7 years now. Started when my wife decided to go independent because she was tired of working in negative salons. We went into working together to make it work.

BKN: Who is your best customer?

JS: From 2 years old up to 90 years old. We treat all of our customers the same because we love our customers. We have our salon mamas, our weekly hair stylist and color clients.

BKN: How had COVID-19 affected your business?

JS: We lost a few clients. We couldn't make it through the closings-- it was a financial impact on us for sure. We had to think how to better the business, so we started a VIP program.

BKN: Biggest learning since you've been a business owner?

JS: Compromise. Working with your team. Learning business and transferring it to Clemmons' tight community.

BKN: Do you have any special offers you'd like to share?

JS: We're offering a free consultation.

BKN: What is most inspiring to you today?

JS: Strength of the people to get through this. I know a lot business owners and everyone is working together and getting through it.
