KS: Kristie Staton, Creative Force Marketing


BKN: What do you do?  For how long?

KS: I provide quality marketing materials that effectively help communicate the value proposition of organizations. Storytelling and design. I find out what the value propositions is of the organization. I find out what the pain points are for the target market an find the best way to communicate that. I love helping them stand up and stand out.I help with design work, printing marketing materials, brand standards, logos, and design. I develop websites. I find digital marketing assets needed for web banners.

BKN: Who is your best customer?

KS: I don't really have a niche-- I like to work with local businesses. Organizations that value marketing and are proactive in their marketing. I like to work with communications or the head of marketing.

BKN: How had COVID-19 affected your business?

KS: It hasn't impacted my business per say, it has impacted my perspective on how I get business. I always thought I'm a extrovert. I love being in front of people and connecting with people. I thought well, I am not going to have any business if I am not in front of people. With everything moving to zoom, I have clients and I gotten new clients and referrals. I have embraced the down time on a personal level. I appreciate being still.I've always had my calendar full and I was happy to have the break. I was so happy.On a personal level I have been able to discover my creativity.

BKN: Biggest learning since you've been a business owner?

KS: I may not always know how to do something, but if it relates to marketing and it's something I may have wanted to do or learn to do, I will say yes and figure it out. Being aware and know your resources are important.

KS: Learning new skills gets me excited and helps me build my service offerings.
