BKN: Coach Beverly Kiser-Nutt

DB: Denise Bump, Bump Design

BKN: What do you do and how long have you done it?

DB: I have owned my advertising and graphic design company for 26 years. I also do interior design on the commercial end. I really love doing interior design work and flip houses on the side.

BKN: Who would you say is your best customer or target customer?

DB: Midsize clients are great customers that have more of a marketing budget. I like to become their marketing, advertising and graphic designer. Some companies have the marketing person but not the design.

BKN: What has been the biggest impact on your business with COVID 19?

DB: I relied a lot on networking to help make it grow. I did the Zoom meetings but the networking I was doing with the chambers was not bringing in the qualified leads and business that was best for me. I dropped that and started focusing more on Social Media, website, SEO and more face to face.

BKN: What are some actions you had to put in place because of the Pandemic?

DB: We had to use Zoom for meetings and were doing more digital adverting on social media vs. printed materials. Making sure my SEO is key. Thankfully, technology and screen sharing have been great.

BKN: What has been your biggest learning since becoming a Business Owner?

DB: Time management, focusing on the most important things and delegating. Staying productive.

BKN: Do you have any special offers you'd like to include?

DB: I offer free consultations.

BKN: What do you find the most inspiring?

DB: I am in awe over the fact that we are all doing the best we can. It's been hard and there have been a lot of changes. Just being respectful that everyone has challenges.
